Burdett School Principal Announcement
Superintendent Roger Clarke would like to congratulate Cheryl Rebmann who has accepted the position of principal at Burdett School.
Cheryl began her teaching career in 2012 as a kindergarten teacher at Herald School in Medicine Hat. That same year, she also worked part-time as a team teacher at Margaret Wooding School. The next fall she continued part-time at Margaret Wooding and joined the Redcliff Mennonite Alternative Program (RMAP) School team providing ESL and distance learning support to students in grades 7-12. By 2013, her position at RMAP increased to full-time. Over the years she has provided multi-level school/classroom support to Low-German Speaking Mennonite students, developed strong communication with families and served as acting principal. In addition to a Bachelor of Education, in 2016 Cheryl also achieved her Master’s in Education.
"While new to school administration, Cheryl brings many strong qualities that are a great fit for Burdett School,” says Superintendent Roger Clarke. “Her understanding of the Mennonite culture and parent expectations will serve her well as she takes on the new challenge of school administration.”
"I am very excited to join the Burdett School staff,” says Rebmann. “I have heard many great things about the instructional team at the school and the support they receive from the parent community. I look forward to continuing to grow those relationships and promote Mennonite educational opportunities in Prairie Rose.”
Cheryl Rebmann will officially assume the role of principal at Burdett School at the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
